ASB
Welcome to West Valley High School ASB! The Associated Student Body is a student government organization that represents the interests of all the students on the West Valley campus.
The Associated Student Body (ASB) office handles activities for, and provides services to, students during the school year. It sells ASB cards, tickets to sporting events, and school dances. The office is open 7:45 a.m., at lunch and after school. Money raised by ASB helps to support sports programs, dances, homecoming events, assemblies, and various contests are also made possible by the ASB.
It is easy to see that a strong ASB means more activities and better funding for existing activities. ASB membership costs $40.00. Your ASB card is your ticket to discounts at special events and it allows you to attend all home athletic events for FREE. All students planning on receiving an academic or athletic letter must have an ASB card.
Traditions
Painting Senior Parking Spots
The 2nd Annual Senior Painting Party was held on August 20th from 8:00-12:00. Each student purchased the spot, then submitted an art draft. The drafts were approved and the painting party was held. On the morning of the event we had music, drinks and doughnuts for all of the students and their parents. We even had some parent participation. Students supplied their own paint and got to work after ASB marked out the space for them to paint. Students not able to participate over the summer will have a second chance during second semester to paint their spot. If you're a senior and you want to paint your parking spot or purchase a spot to paint, listen to the bulletin for further information about the second semester painting party. Mr. Windmiller rules!!
