Principal's Message

Dear Students and Parents:

Welcome to Rancho Viejo Middle School!  Rancho’s staff is committed to making this school year truly exciting and one where each student is pushed to reach their full potential.  We are very fortunate to have many experienced and knowledgeable teachers eager to make a difference for our students.  We believe in a student centered approach, which provides an atmosphere where a child’s social, emotional, and academic needs are equally important.  We know that all students have special talents and need to be given the opportunity to develop these talents.

At Rancho Viejo Middle School, we will provide the essential components of a quality school program.  A rigorous academic curriculum is in place to meet the needs of all levels of students.  Rancho also offers after school assistance programs to provide help to students who are achieving below grade level. This year, we are providing a mandatory lunch time tutoring for each student that is not meeting grade level goals. This additional support will   In addition, we offer a variety of extracurricular activities to meet the vast interests of our student body and highly encourage all students to become involved.

Parents, we would like to personally encourage you to become actively involved in your child’s education.  We truly believe that your involvement will have a lasting impact.  We welcome you and encourage you to participate in as many activities as possible. We have a very strong PTSA and our excited to introduce a new program called WATCH D.O.G.S. (Dads of Great Students). It is our hope to get as many parents on campus as possible to provide role models and mentors to our students. If you are interested in either of these programs, please stop by the office to sign up. We believe that staff, students, and parents are a team and together we can reach our goal of attaining a quality education for every student, in every classroom, every day!

Students, we would like to personally welcome you to the 2011-2012 school year.  We encourage each and every one of you to join in the Maverick Pride.  We will be here to help you celebrate your accomplishments and support you in your areas of need.  We encourage you to study hard, get involved, and enjoy these middle school years.  We commit to providing you the tools to become successful students not only this year, but in the years to come.

On behalf of the entire staff, thank you for being a part of the Rancho Viejo family.  We look forward to working together to achieve a year full of social, emotional, and academic growth.  Have a great school year!
