Mission

The mission of Rancho Viejo Middle School is to provide a safe learning environment where kids feel connected to school. ALL students will learn and grow through a variety of educational experiences.

Vision

Rancho Viejo will be a model middle school for not only the facility but more importantly for what goes on inside the school as well. The environment will be welcoming, safe, and student centered. Students will feel connected to the many different programs that are offered at school and will be engaged in the learning process each day. Diversity will be celebrated.

Rancho Viejo will be the hub of community involvement and will build strong relationships with parents and the community. Families will be actively involved in their child’s education and communicate with staff to support the success of their children.

The driving force behind Rancho Viejo’s success will be the close collaboration among all stakeholders. Teaming will be evident in every aspect of the school. Teachers will collaborate on issues ranging from lesson design to analyzing student work. Student progress will be consistently monitored with the use of standards based assessments. A pyramid of interventions will be in place to ensure that all students are learning. Rancho Viejo’s students will be exposed to cutting edge teaching strategies that incorporate the use of technology and will be productive community members.
