How can I get information about RVMS?

You can phone the RVMS staff at 951-765-6287 OR you may browse the web site for the information you're looking for.

Will tours of the campus be available?

Tours are not yet available. We hope to offer tours when the facility has been approved for opening sometime in August. Until then, please review the construction progress pictures for a Virtual Tour.

Who is the principal of RVMS?

  • Mr. John Huber (formerly at Acacia Middle School)
  • Acacia Middle School earned a 74 point API Testing Score gain while Mr. Huber was principal

How can I verify my student is within RVMS boundaries?

  • Visit the district Facilities department School Locator page. Be sure to click the link for the 2008-09 school year.
  • Busing information may be found by going to the Bus Stop Look-up page on the district web site.

When & where will school registration be held?

We are anticipating holding registration the RVMS school site in August. The exact dates, times and building is still to be determined. Registration dates and times will be sent to you as soon as they have been finalized. Dates and times will also be posted on the web site, so please check back. Students will receive their class schedules, student ID's, core texbooks and student planners when they register. PE clothes and locks may be purchased at registration as well.

What is the RVMS mascot?

Mavericks have been in hemet for several hundred years. Original ranchers named stock animals that roamed free and developed independent, spirited behaviors, "Mavericks."

Maverick students at RVMS are encourage to become free spirited, independent thinkers!

Does RVMS have a dress code?

Yes! Please visit the Dress Code page.

Are backpacks required?

Backpacks are not required but strongly suggested. Rolling backpacks ease the burden of heavy textbooks and materials.

Will students dress out for PE on the first day of school?

Not the first day. PE instructors will inform students of dress out deadlines. PE uniforms are a daily requirement once lockers have been issued.

How can I keep track of my student's academic progress?

  • Edline - online student progress tracking
  • Student Planners - daily homework and notices and messages from teachers are recorded here
  • Teacher Conferences - parent conferences are held in October but you may request a parent/tacher conference at any time by contacting your student's counselor

How do I find out about school events and holidays?

Will AVID clsses be offered?

Yes! We will have an AVID Coordinator and AVID trained teachers in all subject areas.

How can I report my student's absences?

Send a note or call. Please check the student handbook for specific information or visit the Attendance Guidelines page for additional information regarding excused absences.

What sports will be offered at RVMS?

We hope to offer as many sports as our students are interested in, including but not limited to:

  • Volleyball

  • Cross Country

When are the grading periods at RVMS?

Students will receive grades every six weeks or every triad. A semester grade is issues following the 3rd triad. Please visit the Grading Periods page for additional information and details.
