Kindergarten Camp School readiness activities will be provided for preschoolers who have not attended preschool and information is given to parents concerning school readiness. This is a week long program where children will be oriented by kindergarten teachers to the school setting to assure adaptability in transitioning to kindergarten.
Center Based Preschool for children 4 years old. This is a Preschool Program that is offered 4 days a week for 3 hours. We plan to have an AM and PM session at the Hemet Elementary School site and Idyllwild Elementary School site. This program will enhance a child's school readiness by promoting socialization, literacy, motor skills and cognitive skills. Our teachers hold a Teacher's permit issued by the State of California which is 40 units of college courses, 24 of which are in Child Development Education.
Parents as Teachers offering a home visiting program for prenatal parents and children 0-5 year old, with priority given to teen parents.
The vision of PAT is that all children will learn, grow and develop to realize their full potential. Early prevention based the belief that all parents are the first and most influential teachers of their children's success in school and in life. During home visits providers will give information, support and encouragement that parents need to help their children develop optimally during the crucial early years of life.
Kindergarten Readiness. This course helps parents to become skilled at teaching their preschoolers the skills they will need in order to be ready for Kindergarten. Children have the opportunity to play and learn with other children. A credentialed teacher leads activities for the children to enjoy. The eight week course focuses on: literacy, math, creative art, construction, motor skills, music, pretend play, social emotional skills, science, indoor & outdoor games.
Incredible Years. A twelve-week course to parents of 0-5 year olds. This is a twelve-week course offered at various times to parents of 0-5 year olds. Parents will gain new tools, and skills for everyday parenting situations. Free child care for children ages 3-5.
Baby Signs. A twelve week program will assist parents in communicating with their infants/toddlers to reduce frustration and tantrums. Infant/toddler and parents attend.
Dental Screening. Screenings are offered to preschool children and referrals to appropriate local dentists are made. Educating parents on the problems related to dental caries that plague many preschool children.
Hearing Screening. Screenings are offered to preschool children and referrals to appropriate agencies are made. Early detection of hearing loss will avoid future language/learning delays.
Vision Screening. Children ages 0-5 are screened for potential vision problems. Call us today for an appointment to have your child's vision screened. Referrals are made as appropriate.
Annual Health Fair- In March, many community agencies will come together to provide a day of information and fun for children 0-5 years old and their parents. Topics addressed are Exercise, Immunizations, Dental Screenings, Storytelling, Crafts, Asthma information, Car Seats, Tobacco cessation, Face painting, Fire Department, Police, Ambulance and many more. Bring your child's favorite stuffed animal for a free check-up.
Mental Health Consultant Our programs offer Mental Health Consultants for assistance with parental concerns, marital concerns and life coaching. We feel that if the family is functioning well the children will function optimally. We plan to offer parental support groups in the areas of Teen Parents, Grandparents raising grandchildren, Single Parents and much more.
Nutrition Consultant Our program offers nutrition counseling along with breast-feeding education and support.
