Transportation Fees & Information

2011-12 Bus Fees Information

Students eligible for transportation are:

  • Kindergarten through Grade 5 who reside 2.5 miles or more from their home school
  • Grades 6 through 12 who reside 5 miles or more from their home school

We are a parent pay bus pass program. There is assistance available for qualified low income families. Guidelines determine eligibility based on family size and gross monthly household income. Proof of household income must be supplied for each adult in the household. If you are applying for a free or reduced fare bus pass it is incumbent upon you, the applicant, to provide any proof of income that is requested by the bus pass office staff

If you are applying for a free or reduced fare bus pass, current proof of household income must be provided at the time of your application. If applying for a free or reduced fare bus pass, please bring the following proof of income items with you to the bus pass office:

  • Last Year's Tax Returns

  • And any of these additional sources of income:
      • If receiving AFDC – You must provide your most current “Notice of Action”
      • If receiving SSI and/or Survivor Benefits –You must provide your most current "Notice of Action"
      • If receiving retirement retirement benefits - You must provide your most current "Statement of Benefits"

    The bus pass office accepts the following means of payment: Cash, check, money order, credit cards and debit cards (Visa and Master Card only).

**Students must have a current and valid bus pass to board the bus each day**

Your student’s picture is required to be on their bus pass. Please bring either a wallet sized photo (or larger) of your student with you to the bus pass office or bus pass office personnel can take a picture of your student at the bus pass office.

Bus Pass Applications can be obtained beginning August 8, 2011 at the Transportation Department located at 1175 W. Acacia Avenue, Hemet or by clicking the links below.

We have made the bus pass application (English and Spanish) available for you to print out and use.  The application is one page and needs to be filled out completely with one exception:  DO NOT FILL OUT the FEE-WAIVER part of the application if you are NOT applying for ASSISTANCE.  If you apply for a fee-waiver and do not qualify, we will notify you.

The fee for a "Lost Pass" is $20.00

All Replacement Passes - $20.00
